Virus now threat to Commonwealth Games, claims expert

THE norovirus outbreak could threaten the Commonwealth Games, a leading public health expert warned yesterday.

Bacteriology expert Professor Hugh Pennington said the Athletes Village may be contaminated, after a further 20 cases of the contagious superbug were confirmed at the site, bringing the total to 32.
